Top 5 Restaurants in Toronto

Date Night Destinations

As a young and busy couple we don't get to eat out as often as we would like, so we try to make the most of our date nights at places that offer the whole package: atmosphere, entertainment, and of course great food! This blog shares with you our top 5 most adored destinations to dine out at in Toronto. Each restaurant title links to their website where their address, menu and pricing can be found.

1. Tabule
We have never had a meal at this incredible Middle Eastern restaurant that we didn’t LOVE. Their Fried Cauliflower with a touch of tahini will change your opinion about cauliflower forever. The restaurant is always cozy and warm, and as a bonus on weekends, the whole restaurant is a buzz as belly dancers entertain guests throughout dinner.

2. Amsterdam BrewHouse | On the Lake
Not only is the food great here, but they operate their own micro brewery on site. Our go-to here is a flight of beer each and an Amsterdam Pretzel to share - but thats just to start. The mains are hearty and I guarantee you'll be taking your Butternut Squash Ravioli leftovers home. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun with hockey on big screen TV's throughout, but nothing beats summer dining on their HUGE patio stocked with Muskoka chairs overlooking Lake Ontario.

3. 3030
This quirky restaurant in the Junction proves that eating out doesn’t have to come with a high price tag. They have a regularly changing menu, offer a selection of local craft beer and are also open for brunch on the weekends.  This little gem has created quite the buzz around its retro-design, wide selection of board games and old school pinball machines. We recommend checking out their events, which are often free and include trivia nights as well as live bands and themed dance nights after dinner!

4. Wvrst
Wvrst is a sausage lovers haven. They offer a four step menu of artisan sausages, buns and toppings as well as craft beer from around the world. Their duck fat fries are a personal favourite that simply can't be beat. The dining experience isn't only unique because of the food, but also because of their communal tables. This is our favourite lunch date location when looking for something social and laid back.

5. The Sultan's Tent
The dining room draped in luxurious fabric is what makes dining at this up-sale Moroccan restaurant such a fun experience. The food is always tasty, and you've got lots of opportunity to dive deep into conversations as dining here is usually an all evening event. The menu offers choices for both spice lovers as well as those with a less adventures pallet. While eating in the tented dining room is entertaining on its own, they also have dancers dressed in gold wings, who not only perform but also interact with diners.

Talk soon,

Alexis

  1. Perhaps I will have to give cauliflower another chance. Everything is better fried.
